Curriculum Vitae
Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of Chicago in 1976. Afterwards Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of California, Berkeley. In 1982 he worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology, University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as at the Department of Sociology, University of California, Berkeley. Since 1988 he is a Full Professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Berkeley.
