Research focus, presentations and publications during stay

Within the framework of the Collegue-Colloquium, Franz Schultheis gave a lecture on the genesis of the concept of precariousness under the title ‘Precarité – the History and the Career of a Socio-Political Concept’, focusing on different usage in the French and German context. At the conference on ‘Precarity as a Sociological Concept’, Schultheis spoke of “From Algeria to the Banlieue: Pierre Bourdieus View of the Economies of Misery”.
